Keyboarding: Put your hands on Home Row... KEEP your hands on home row. Take the time to do it right!! It will be sooooo worth it in the long run!! Work to have proper finger placement and good technique. If you have good technique, you will become more accurate and quicker. With proper technique and practice, you can get there! Your goal should be to type 5 wpm (words per minute) per grade. 6th Grade Goal = 30 wpm by the end of the year 7th Grade Goal = 35 wpm by the end of the year 8th Grade Goal = 40 wpm by the end of the year ... some 8th graders have gotten into the 70s wpm range (proper technique)
