If you answered "yes" to these questions, then read a"Challenge Assignment" below. You must complete a new "Challenge Assignment" before you may move on to play any games or watch any videos.
Yes!! You do get points for completing the "Challenge Assignment" if it is done correctly and done well. These points go into your grade as extra credit. You will not lose any points by not doing a "Challenge Assignment". Don't panic if you see a '0' in the gradebook for the "Challenge Assignment" category, it is not hurting your grade in any way.
If you have other homework to complete or free reading that must be done, you may do that before completing the "Challenge Assignment".

"Paper Wreaths" ... you will need to watch the video to find out what is involved in this "Challenge Assignment". Watch the video as many times as you need, pause the video whenever you need to. Find the supplies in the room. You can also see completed examples in the room. Do your best work! If you need to see some examples, there are some hanging over the door. **Click here to see the video.** You can listen to the video as often as you need (if you have headphones), if you do not have headphones, you will have to watch extra carefully to the demonstration. Again, pause or play it back as times as needed. Bring your wreath back to show me once you have finished. Then you can hang your wreath in the building. Good luck - you can do it!!
Challenge Assignment ... "Word Art Work-of-Art" ... you will need the "Word Art: Basic for Student Use" document that is living in the "Computer Class" folder. You need to create a work-of-art using the word art. You can see examples in class... presents, trees, wreaths, pumpkins, stars, cars, etc. What can you make using the "old-fashioned word art"? Be clever, be creative, be a problem-solver. Use your 'snipping tool' to take a screen shot of your work-of-art. Copy and paste it into the message window of an email... send me your Word Art Work-of-Art. Send it to your PAL teacher as well. Be sure to let your PAL teacher know that you created the word art work-of-art that you are sending them. You could send your work-of-art to Judy or Mindy in the office as well... you could send it to any teacher that you wanted. Do your best work! Challenge Assignment ... "Pencil Stays on the Paper Drawing" ... you will need to go to the front white bookshelf and pick up the "Challenge Assignment" with the house and stick person on it. You have to copy the image (picture of the house and stick person) without lifting your pen or pencil off the paper. No - you cannot roll your pencil over to the center. No - you cannot 'click' your pen off. The tip of your pen/pencil must remain on paper at all times. No - you cannot erase lines that you have made. No - you cannot made a really light line. There is a white basket with some scratch paper in it for you to use or you can grab some paper from the recycling bin. If you have notebook paper, you could use that as well. As soon as you are able to complete the challenge, come and show me how you did it. This is a tough challenge - there is a bit of a trick to it. You will have to 'think outside the box' with this challenge!! Shhhh - don't tell anyone how to do it! :) Good luck - you can do it!! Challenge Assignment ... "Ditloid Puzzle" ... you will need to go to the front white bookshelf and pick up the "Challenge Assignment" that says 'Ditloid Puzzle' on top. All of these puzzles have to do with time (seconds, minutes, hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades, centuries, millennium, etc.)
