Unsolved Mysteries - FINALLY, time to pick your mystery!
Oh boy! There are a lot of mysteries to choose from. Which mystery would you like to work with for this Unsolved Mysteries project? Read through each mystery below before making your decision. There will probably be one mystery that appeals to you more than the others - read through each one. If you would like to learn more about a mystery you have never heard of, pick one of those. If you know a little about one of the mysteries and would like to know more, pick one of those.
Keep in mind, if you are working with a team of other students, you may NOT select the same mystery that another team member is working on. You must each have your own mystery to work with.
ONCE I HAVE SELECTED MY MYSTERY, THEN WHAT? --> INVESTIGATE online... begin searching for answers --> READ through the sites... don't just click and scroll, actually invest your time reading the material --> TAKE NOTES of what you read... don't just print everything you find, it is a waste of ink and paper... you could open a WORD document and type notes as well - whatever way you learn best, do that --> SUMMARIZE your findings... if you have read and understood the material well, you should be able to summarize your findings to someone else out loud
** REMEMBER... The bottom line is to address those 5 areas: 1. Background 2. Unreasonable theories 3. Reasonable theories 4. What still remains a mystery 5. YOUR own theory ***You are not just describing your mystery, there should be a purpose to everything that you are telling the audience. It should fit into one of those 5 areas listed above - not just eyewitness accounts (those might help to prove the theory though). You can do it!!
