Keyboarding: Put your hands on Home Row... keep your hands on home row. Work to have proper finger placement and good technique. If you have good technique, you will become more accurate and quicker. Technique comes first. You can do it!! Your goal should be to type 5 wpm (words per minute) per grade ... if you are in 6th grade - your goal should be 30 wpm by the end of the year... if you are in 7th grade - your goal should be 35 wpm by the end of the year... if you are in 8th grade - your goal should be 40 wpm by the end of the year. With proper technique and practice, you can get there!
Typing Club - start here! Here are the basics, this is great place to start or a good place to review your keyboard - use correct keyboard technique, grab a cover to keep those eyes up!
DTE: Daily Typing Exercises ... first 10 minutes of class (6th graders)... technique, technique, technique! Be sure to show Mrs. Driscol your score as soon as you finish. Record your score on your DTE paper.
Keyboarding Practice - there are loads and loads of websites to practice great keyboarding skills and technique. Scroll through and pick a website to start with. Then remember to concentrate on your technique.

Keyboard - can you imagine if all keys fell off your keyboard, that is what happened here! Put the keys back where they belong. You can do "Letters and Numbers ONLY" if you want. Go for a HUGE challenge and tackle the entire keyboard. Good luck!!
